Drupal vB 2.1 released

I'm proud to announce the second official release of Drupal vB 2.1.

This release contains fixes for many bugs and a bunch of improvements for the Drupal vBulletin integration. Most importantly, we have improved the user mapping between Drupal and vBulletin users, and shared user sessions are finally working properly now.

Since version 2.x of Drupal vB, neither files of Drupal, nor of vBulletin need to be altered to get the integration working. Compatibility with vBulletin 3.7.x has been confirmed by users of Drupal vB. That said, the solution comparison matrix over at http://www.vbdrupal.org/vbulletin_drupal_integration_matrix is completely outdated. Drupal vB 2.x has been re-written in major parts, so approx. 80% of all key features on that comparison can be answered with "Yes" now.

vBulletin 3.7.x has been confirmed by users of Drupal vB

Yes, I have tested that on my localhost box and works perfect. I will do my best to test the 2.1 release and report back. I don't use the module on a production site yet, BUT it is my 1st choice when the time is right.

Its time for D6 porting now :) -

I run a website with drupal as cms and vb as forum, with several users registered on both of the 2 systems. If I install vbdrupal, all of them must login with their drupal credentials, true? But what happens to their accounts in vb? Will them be linked?

In other words: Usr A has a drupal account with email a@a.com, and a vb account with the mail a@a.com. What happens when he tries to login?

Hey sun,
you said that 80% of the features in the comparison answered with "no" can be answered with "yes" now. Can you update the matrix? I am interested in following points.

Shared Session? -> means same Cookie
Single Sign-On?
Automatic login (remember user)?
