On Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm at the Pythian Building, 918 SW Yamhill: 4th floor join us for a sampling of some Portland gems:
- Appetizers by Divine Cafe, featurng summer bounty from Portland Farmer's Market and other local area treasures.
- Portland microbrews from Bridgeport, Rogue, Lucky Labrador and homebrew.
- Saké from SakéOne, our neighboring Sakery in Forest Grove.
Space provided by Nia International, a Portland-based company who'll be launching their drupal Web site this fall.

Carpooling from Eugene to OSCON on Thursday?
Hi. I'll be coming to OSCON from Eugene on Thursday, July 24 (leaving Eugene approx 9am and returning at night). Anyone doing the same and wanting to share a ride (I'm open to taking my car or yours)?
Plans changed. I'll be driving up this afternoon.
I didn't get any responses yet, so I think my carpooling chances are dwindling. Also, I was able to free up my schedule in order to leave today at around 4:30, and try to make it to this welcome event. I'm looking forward to seeing you all there!

so it goes in the life of the busy programmer/father-type. perhaps next time i just need to bring one (or both) of my girls. they are learning php by osmosis anyway. why not ruin them for good?
Awesome job, wonderful party
Well done to the organisers. It was a great party with plenty of stellar guests and great company. Matt was there, as were amazon and webchick... oh and Rasmus Lerdorf, the inventor of PHP... and others. I met Drupalers from Michigan, Texas, Montreal and a couple of other places. I had a wonderful time and was there over 4 hours. The food was excellent and I'm told the booze was too. Thanks very much to the sponsors. A stellar mini-event, best I've been to in a while.

It was a great event. Kudos to Melissa and Michael for putting together a wonderful evening. People in this town need to stop putting together such great events with such little lead time or people will start to expect it ;)
