Viva! Correu bem e com uma

Viva!

Hi, I see you had interest in the Elsevier Project

The release will be available on elsevier.es from tomorrow as far my knowledge goes.
I was the main programmer for the solr part so I would be happy to provide you with more information.

Solr at DrupalCamp

Hi Nick

Thank you for your response. I've a lot of questions, but I'm curious also about your session at 26th March: ApacheSolr - The complete search solution (http://lisbon2011.drupal-pt.org/node/60)
I imagine you will talk about many aspects and maybe you will use Elsevier case for illustrating some details.
I list some questions here, but I think I'll have all responses at the Camp, after your session. I'm newbie in Drupal Search with Solr.

  1. "Apache Solr" for Drupal and "Acquia Search" is the same reality?
  2. Drupal and Solr was a choice of the company? They have other platforms, like http://www.scirus.com, build with other tools...
  3. In this website, we can browse by category, type of document, list of most commented and purchased, and faceted search. What was the most complicated to implement?
  4. Search criteria depends on quality of data input and variety of fields. To build a search solution, I think it's necessary to do a good analysis of original data. Do you find problems at this level (lack of data, insconsistency...)? What do you do/ recommend in these situations?
  5. The only language available is spanish. Do you think multilanguage in a project like this is more complicated than other kind of projects?
  6. You have used the related content but you don't offer the suggestion based on purchases. Any reason for that?
  7. The implementation of this project took how many time?

See you at camp
thank you
