I was wondering if there was anything in the works that would allow views to take input from a user. I.E. a form that has text fields, checkboxes, and/or pull-down menues. Views is an amazing way to search through a site and seems close to what I am looking for. Does anyone know of anything like this in the works for views?

Setting?
Is there a setting for changing the input from a text field to a pull-down menu or check boxes?
no setting
if you are using CCK with limited options, you will be in luck. that feature just got committed recently.
Thanks
Thanks!
proximity search
I just installed the newest views/location/cck and can't seem to find the filter for proximity anymore when I am creating my views. Has this been taken out or could I just have messed something up?

I have built standard web presences and e-commerce sites but what should be the simplest thing is confounding me. I want to build a site where there is a row of input fields for items like PO number, date, customer etc and a couple pull down menu's that have status selections like in production or ready for shipment etc. I want the database to display all the columns below so all the entries are visible as in a spreadsheet. What modules would support this concept? I have ctools, views, field group, panels, insert field, cck etc. Thanks for any thoughts/help -jon
