Not receiving notifications via SMS

I am new to the SMS Gateway and using it with Twilio. I can receive SMS messages using SMS Gateway "Send to Phone" method. I am also able to receive notifications via Email. When I change the Send Method from Mail to SMS I do not get any notifications.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you enabled and subscribed to any one of SMS gateway providers? SMS notification won't work unless you connect to a real SMS GW or provider.

I am using Twilio and have validated the mobile phone number. I can send SMS to the phone using "Send to Phone" but the notifications are not working. I have a subscription associated to a Contact Type but when I create content I do not get a SMS message. Have looked in the Notifications queue and entires are being created.

When I run the queue process the process log shows info messages but none actually say that the message was sent but after completion the queue is empty.

None of the SMS notification are being received and have no idea why.

Did you change the "default send method" under "message and notification" section on your account setting page to "SMS"?

I have validated my phone number. But the notifications not work. In my account settings page , under "message and notifications" the option SMS is no there. What I can do? thanks.

Hi laraz

Confirm your mobile number on the "mobile settings" tab at your account page. Once you confirm account's mobile number (enter the confirm code received), the "SMS" option on the "default send method" selection will show up.

Hi Lara

I use my own sms gateway and have no idea why others won't work.

I just setup a new portal with smsframework enabled for my home use recently. The whole process is very straight forward. I have to say, Drupal rocks! :)

Are you able to "send to phone"? It sounds like the account is not setup correctly. Check the log file. My problem was related to the message being too long (which generated an error in the log). I changed the message templates and that corrected the problem.

yes I can confirm my phone number. Later the option SMS in the user edit account tab, under default send method no apear.
