Trying to link view to posts and tasks

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I'm trying to create a view which lists both tasks and notes for a selected project. I'm running into a brick wall. I want to be able to query with the project name and it lists all tasks and notes. Better still, if I could link this view as a block in the project view. It just isn't effecient having to click on tasks, then go back to the project view and click on notes. The Storm Dashboard module doesn't seem to work for me either. I don't run invoicing/time.

Any help would be appreciated!

The trouble I'm having is with the filter. If I filter by task proj name, it excludes nodes and visa versa. I've read the documentation on arguments and relationships, but cant figure out how to do it. Seems like it can't be that difficult.
