Groupware in a "micro" shop

Hi All,
Like most of us, I am a member of a micro firm. For the most part, we carry long term contracts of development and maintenance for our clients.
One thing we struggle with is information retention and sharing.
This info could be anything from Customer contacts, Project specifics and deliverables, incident tracking, or the Hosting credentials.

Clearly, we need a groupware system. Ive looked around a many of them, but have not been satisfied yet.
Obviously, most of my time is spent billable, this cobbler's children have bad shoes...
Of the open source systems Ive looked at, most are either too simple, and dont solve all the problems, or too complex, with huge and ungainly setup to manage.

Suggestions?

I've been trying the Storm

I've been trying the Storm module and so far haven't had any real red flags. I use it for client and project notes as well as time tracking.

For time-tracking, billing

For time-tracking, billing and credit control (automated reminders) I'm very happy with Freshbooks. They have simple issue tracking (which I don't use) and other bits and pieces. But, its primarily a billing solution. I looked at Storm when it first appeared, I guess it's improved a lot since then. I'd love to see a fully functional commercially oriented CRM system built on Drupal. As far as I know, Storm is the only option at the moment.

CivicCRM

I briefly looked at this module and the website and it appears to be heavily supported, open-source, and built for Drupal. I use http://redmine.org for project management, http://fatfreecrm.com for well CRM, and I bill out on a project basis so hourly hasn't come up.

I've not yet found the right

I've not yet found the right fit. I've tried Storm and Active Collab and SugarCRM (talk about overkill) and Open Atrium. None of it is a great fit, though we've stuck with Open Atrium for the longest.
