With the launch of Drupal 8, there’s a lot to be excited about in the Drupal community — and a lot left to contribute!

Hey everybody!!!
Celebrate the beginning of our NINTH YEAR as a group!
Yah.... it was 8 years ago this month that I organized the 1st meeting. There were only 2 of us!!! :-(
The next month 2 again! But it was me and the other person was not the same from the 1st meeting!
It was a slow start, but it REALLY PICKED up a few months later.
The meetings have ranged from 1/mo to 2/mo to long breaks of 0/mo
But thanks to Schyler & the rest of the Angie's list crew. WE'RE STILL KICKING! :-)

Join us on Saturday, January 30 and Sunday, January 31 at the OpenDoor Coworking Space in Laporte for Drupal's Global Sprint Weekend!

This sprint will focus on Drupal 8 issues, and porting modules to Drupal 8.

Not up for coding? Some examples of other activities you can do at the sprint include:

• Writing docs for core or contributed modules
• Working on presentations
• Testing or reviewing patches for core or contributed modules
• Anything else that helps make Drupal awesome!

We will start at 9:00am and continue until around 6pm.

The Village of Oak Park Drupal User Group is a family-friendly all-ages meetup group that meets in Oak Park Illinois. Our meetups are sprints. What is a sprint? https://drupal.org/sprints

We learn Drupal, PHP, HTML, javascript, CSS, etc. through contribution, by working on Drupal issues together.

Bring your laptop and a willingness to work on Drupal issues. We work in pairs or groups to support each other. We can find tasks for every skill set and skill level.

After our first meeting most group members were interested in working with Drupal. Many first timers.

I think this meetup will be setup to do various beginner demo's and answer questions to help them get up and running.

This event will be to kick off this group. Event will most likely be in Valparaiso, Indiana.

Hey everyone! I just moved to South Bend and was hoping that there might be a monthly meetup or something for Drupal. Does anyone have any info? If nothing official is going on, is anyone else interested in an informal get-together?

As for myself, I've been around the Drupal community for more years than I want to admit. My current project is building a HA drupal site with chef and a bunch of other current buzzwords like MariaDB and Galera. If anyone has experience with anything of this nature, I would love to ask a few questions, otherwise I'll just keep plodding along on my own.
