Drupal Diversity & Inclusion advocates through SFDUG are hosting a Speaker Diversity Workshop to help speakers from underrepresented groups prepare to speak at conferences. This will in turn help local meetups, Drupal Camps, and even DrupalCons develop a more diverse speaker roster. The workshop helps folks bust through their impostor syndrome and develop a topic, title, pitch, bio, and outline. #DrupalSpeakerDiversity

The workshop covers:
- Impostor syndrome
- Finding a topic
- Better speaker tips
- Writing a great pitch
- Creating an outline
- Creating great slides

It was a pleasure to meet everyone at DrupalCon Austin 2014. I regret I was not able to join folks for drinks that evening, I hope it won't be the last opportunity I have.

I am glad to see there are Queer Folks represented in this industry. One of the things that struck me about the BOF was the number of voices that seemed to resonate with the theme of alienation. For the folks who feel this in their workplace my heart goes out to you; hang in there and keep fighting the good fight.

IDAHOT - International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia is celebrated on May17 to commemorate the World Health Organization’s decision in 1990 to declassify homosexuality as a mental disorder. IDAHOT is not one centralised campaign; rather it is a moment that everyone can take advantage of to take action (this year in over 120 countries).
