Drupal Camp Seattle

Hi all,

Currently I am working on build drupal site...... It looks fine in the front page.

But when I click to this page ....... The outlook of this page becomes totally mess.

I don't know why this happens. I am really frustrated. Is there anyone encountering similar problem? Hope any of you could give me some suggestions.

In this case, I just create a Seattle Drupal Meeting in meetup . As some of you recommend, I will use Pantheon as my hosting. The next step is choosing the theme for Drupal Site. At this point, I have checked out themes from Drupal.org. But after installing some of them, I find that only part of the theme will display comparing to demos.

How about having a group of newbies meeting once a week to learn about one module / profile / feature at a time...

I was thinking Drupal Commerce would be a good idea to start with... good videos tuts and admin guides are available online as well... we could also do some screencasts from the newbie perspective... and extend the contribution of our SEADUG community to the larger Drupal community...

Friday October 2nd from 10am to 5pm members of the local Seattle Drupal User Group will be leading a day long seminar and hands on workshop to introduce you to Drupal.

This event is for those exploring Drupal as a platform for their website, individuals, small business', non-profit's - all are welcome. We will start at the beginning and go over the basics of this excellent Content Management System.

I am helping to plan a Drupal Event in late October here in Seattle. This event will be a bit different from Drupal camps as we have done them here in Seattle in the past. The focus will be more on folks already in the "Drupal Ecosystem", people who spend much of their time designing, configuring and engineering Drupal. We will not have a focus on the "beginner" track as we have had in the past, rather we will be having a separate event a few weeks earlier to reach out to those checking out the Drupal Ecosystem.

We've picked some tentative dates for the next Portland DrupalCamp: August 22-23, 2009.

So scour your calendars and make sure there aren't any other big tech events that weekend. Obviously any date is going to cause problems for some subset of people but we want to make sure we're not up against another regional DrupalCamp. It'll be close to DrupalCon Paris but hopefully we'll still be able to draw in some other people on the West Coast.

What Actually Happened

At the Feb 21, 2009 Seattle Drupal Mini-Camp, a group got together to set up (or start setting up) a new web sites for Seattle Drupal camps (http://seattle.drupal-camp.org/) Jennifer H led the group. Helping out: Gregory, Shawn, John, Robert, Josh (did I forget anyone?). Thanks!!
