We currently hold several dependencies (nt-time, time, constant_time_eq and the dev dependency clap) at old versions, because updating them would require us to increase the minimum supported Rust version to at least 1.85.0 (1.88.0 in the case of time); it's currently 1.83.0. Users of zip, what's the newest Rust version you're able to use with it?
