• All Tasks view — A new "All Tasks" entry in the manager sidebar gathers every open to-do (- [ ]) from across all your notes into one place, grouped by source note. Check one off and it writes straight back to the original note; sub-tasks keep their nesting.
• Quick group switching from the menu bar — A new Display submenu lets you show just one group's notes with a single click, hiding everything else — perfect for jumping between contexts. Your choice is remembered across launches.
• Tray menu grouping — Settings → General now lets you organize the menu bar note list as a flat list (default), grouped sections, or collapsible submenus.
• Global shortcut for Float on Top — Record your own hotkey in Settings → Shortcuts to toggle Float on Top from anywhere.

Improvements

• One unified editor — The note editor is now the live WYSIWYG Markdown editor everywhere, with inline styling, code, images, math, and task lists. The old two-mode (render/source) editor and its experimental settings toggles have been retired.

Noticky is now Perch

Noticky has a new name, a new look, and a new home — meet Perch. Your notes come along for the ride.

What changed

• New name & icon. Noticky is now Perch, with a fresh menu bar icon — a little bird perched on a branch.
• Same app, same notes. Everything you know is still here. This is a rename, not a rewrite.

Upgrading from Noticky — please read

• Perch is a separate app. Because of the rename, your existing Noticky won't auto-update to Perch. Download Perch once from the link below, then you can move the old Noticky to the Trash.
• Your notes are imported automatically. The first time you open Perch, it brings over all your notes and groups from Noticky (duplicates are skipped), then asks whether to keep or delete the old Noticky data — Keep is the default, so nothing is removed unless you choose to.
• iCloud sync starts fresh. Perch uses a new iCloud container, so previously synced data doesn't carry over on its own. Your local notes are imported as above; turn on iCloud in Settings to sync from here.

What's New

Note Colors

• New Rainbow (炫彩) color — a vivid rainbow gradient for your stickies. The note background uses a soft, readable version while pickers show the vivid one.
• Random default color — set Default color to Random in Settings → Notes and every new note picks its own color.

Resizing

• Preset sizes in the ⋯ menu — switch a floating note between Small / Medium / Large with a single click, just like changing color. Tile and Stack layouts re-align automatically afterward.
• Cycle-size shortcut — assign a global shortcut in Settings → Shortcuts to cycle the focused note through Small → Medium → Large.

Tasks

• Task progress pie — notes containing checkboxes now show a completion pie on the sticky title bar and in the manager list.

Under the Hood

• Noticky now enforces a single running instance, so launching it again just surfaces the existing app instead of starting a second copy.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an intermittent crash that could happen on actions that save a note (e.g. collapsing a sticky), caused by a data race in Spotlight indexing.

• 新增炫彩配色 —— 给便签来一抹鲜艳的彩虹渐变。便签背景用柔和、易读的版本,颜色选择器里则显示鲜艳版。
• 随机默认色 —— 在 设置 → 便签 里把默认颜色设为「随机」,每张新便签都会自动挑一个颜色。

尺寸调整

• ⋯ 菜单里的预设尺寸 —— 像切换颜色一样,一键把浮窗便签切到 小 / 中 / 大。切换后平铺、堆叠布局会自动重新对齐。
• 尺寸循环快捷键 —— 在 设置 → 快捷键 里指定一个全局快捷键,循环切换当前便签的 小 → 中 → 大。

任务

• 任务进度饼 —— 含复选框的便签会在标题栏和管理列表里显示一个完成度饼图。

底层改进

• Noticky 现在会确保只运行一个实例,再次启动只会唤起已有窗口,而不是再开一个副本。

问题修复

• 修复了一个偶发崩溃 —— 在保存便签的操作(例如折叠便签)时可能触发,根因是 Spotlight 索引的数据竞争。

• New WYSIWYG Markdown editor powered by swift-markdown-engine. Write in plain Markdown and see it rendered live — toggle between edit and preview in the note header.

Library Export & Import

• Export your entire library as SQLite or Markdown files for backup or migration.
• Import a Noticky SQLite backup directly — useful for restoring from a manual backup or moving between Macs.

Settings

• Added Clear All Content in Settings → General — wipes all notes and groups with a single confirmation. Useful for a fresh start.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed: pinned notes imported from a backup now correctly appear as floating windows immediately after import.
