Additional Suggestion:
canvasFontMeasureInk produces vertical ink metrics with an inverted (y-DOWN) sign, opposite to the y-UP convention shared by the consumer and all other providers, so registered-font ink bounds are vertically flipped on the pure-Zig measurement path.
