A complete, open-source guide to amateur PCB project: From schematic design to a working device.
This repository walks you through the entire lifecycle of a hardware project, from a blank canvas in KiCad to a functional, firmware-driven device on your desk. The guide is broken down into six main phases:
- PCB Design - initial component selection, schematic, layout, and routing
- Component Sourcing - final component selection process, BOM optimization, and ordering
- Ordering PCBs & Stencils - fabrication artifacts, PCB and stencil ordering
- Hardware Assembly - physical assembly of the board and wiring
- Software - minimal firmware and basic scripts
- Testing - gathering setup, flashing, and testing
