In plain English: these are blank copies of the documents the book has you write. Fill one in and paste it into Claude. You don't need to know what a Project or a swap slot is yet, because the folder for each chapter says what to do with the file inside it. Nothing here runs and nothing installs.
"I've read Chapter 4 and want my workspace set up."
Open chapters/04-the-classroom-workspace/classroom-profile.md, fill in the six blocks for your own class, and paste it into a Claude Project. That's the one that everything else runs on. About fifteen minutes.
"I finished the book and just want the blank copies." The copy table below. Every file, and where it goes in your own setup.
"I'm partway through and want tonight's chapter."
Go to chapters/ and open the folder with your chapter number on it. Each one has a short README saying what you fill in and how to tell it worked.
"I haven't read the book." These are worksheets without their instructions, so they'll be thin on their own. The two worth taking anyway are the scrub checklist and the review pass, which stand up by themselves and cost you nothing.

The Claude web app and something to write documents in. That's the list.
There's no code here, nothing to install, nothing to run, and no terminal. Every file is a plain text document you can open, print, or paste.
Nothing in here asks for a student's name, and nothing should ever be filled in with one.
The privacy card from the book's Appendix B is not in this repo. The book prints it complete and asks you to photocopy it and pin it up, which is a better copy than any file could be.
Two of Chapter 9's four parent-communication patterns have no template wording anywhere in this repo either. The book teaches those two as constraints rather than as templates, so what's here is the constraints sheet. Writing the words is the exercise.
