in case anyone is wondering, I use Arch Linux.

Arch btw

• Folders and submodules with the exception of firefox should be included inside your $HOME/.config/ directory.
• firefox files should be inside your $HOME/.mozilla/firefox/<your-release>/chrome/ directory.
