Connected technology for personal protection
Closer Security is a connected-device project designed to improve the protection of people in emergency situations, with particular attention to children and vulnerable users.
Repository purpose: this is the public presentation repository. The main development repository remains private.

The project combines a connected wearable device with backend and application services.
The target product is a connected safety bracelet supporting an emergency workflow based on:
- a deliberate SOS action;
- geolocation;
- mobile connectivity;
- alerts to authorized helpers;
- controlled transmission of emergency information.
- SOS activation by long press;
- silent interaction with haptic confirmation;
- GPS and network-assisted positioning;
- address resolution;
- 4G/5G connectivity as preferred connection;
- Wi-Fi support where appropriate;
- eSIM and nano-SIM considerations;
- emergency audio capture;
- status LEDs and vibration feedback;
- battery-autonomy target;
- waterproofing target;
- parental / authorized-helper monitoring scenarios.
Implementation details may evolve during prototyping and validation.
Closer Security must prioritize:
- privacy by design;
- explicit authorization;
- strong authentication;
- secure communications;
- data minimization;
- controlled retention;
- secure deletion;
- auditability;
- protection against abuse and unauthorized tracking.
