I'm Athanasia, a mathematician turned applied machine learning practitioner, working across machine learning, data science, computer vision, and interactive technologies.
I hold an MSc in Data Science & Machine Learning and have a background in mathematics and digital technology. My work has gradually shifted from interactive and visual experiences to more technical applications of AI and data—from exploring datasets and developing ML models to building computer vision and generative AI prototypes.
I'm particularly interested in applied AI: using machine learning and data to solve practical problems, while making complex information understandable and useful. My interests include interpretable ML, computer vision, human-centred AI, spatial data, and interactive data-driven systems.
I also enjoy working at the intersection of technical and creative disciplines. Some of my projects combine data, AI, visualisation, spatial technologies, and 3D to create systems that people can explore and interact with.
My recent research includes interpretable machine learning for breast cancer mortality prediction using the METABRIC dataset, with work accepted at IEEE CIBCB 2026.
I mostly work with Python and JavaScript, moving between data analysis, machine learning experimentation, and interactive applications.
