A convolutional network for leaf classification of the Northeastern United States 185 tree species dataset

A basic 3 layer convolutional network was found to give the best tradeoff between accuracy and training time

We achieved a final accuracy of 88% on the test data which is pretty good considering the minimal preprocessing, noisy training data and the large number of target classes
