Idol Culture は、日本のアイドルを歌手や芸能人としてだけでなく、日本の現代大衆文化を構成する表現者・公的人物として考えるプロジェクトです。記事では、キャリア形成と卒業、表現者とファンの関係、敬意あるファン活動、文化的・芸術的表現としての写真などを扱います。
複雑なテーマを固定観念や単純な賛否に還元せず、文化的背景、表現者の主体性、倫理的責任を踏まえて丁寧に考察することを目指しています。

Idol Culture considers Japanese idols not only as singers and entertainers, but also as performers and public figures within Japan’s modern popular culture. Its articles explore career development and graduation, relationships between performers and fans, respectful participation in fandom, and photography as a form of cultural and artistic expression.
The project aims to examine complex subjects carefully rather than reduce them to stereotypes or simple approval or disapproval. It considers cultural context, performer agency, and ethical responsibility.
