This document is clear and easy to follow. booting-on-vmware.md is... not. I'm inclined to think, though, that we should clean up booting-on-vmware.md to follow this PR's example, integrating this material into it, rather than adding a separate page.

This line can be dropped, and
| tr -d '\n'
can be added to the previous command.
