I'm a polyglot engineer, having worked in various back-end software development roles since 2010. I enjoy numbers, patterns, learning and teaching

c-wilkinson /README.md

I'm Craig Wilkinson, a UK-based Senior Software Engineer who has spent over a decade building data-driven systems that don't fall over when people actually use them. My background's firmly in the Microsoft stack, with SQL Server and C# doing most of the heavy lifting. I've designed and delivered reporting platforms, data pipelines, and automation tooling for teams that like their analytics fast and their uptime boringly reliable.

SQL Server is still my comfort zone, but I've spent recent years wandering into Redshift and PostgreSQL territory. I'm happiest knee-deep in query plans, schema design, and backend logic, preferably while chasing down some elusive performance bottleneck that everyone swears "was fine yesterday."

This GitHub is my playground. You'll find a mix of side projects, experiments, and random tools I built because something annoyed me enough to automate it. Expect a few rough edges and the occasional over-engineered solution.

When I'm not coding, you'll probably find me:

  • Running marathons (I've got the tattoos to prove it)
  • Playing games with my son
  • Drinking whisky and planning blog posts I may or may not write
