Parallax helps mid-market companies answer the question every CFO and COO eventually faces: "Which of our people could we be paying half as much for — without losing anything?"
We run a structured four-phase intelligence engagement — Role Audit → Structure Decision → Market Intelligence → Automated Report — and deliver a single document your board can act on without us in the room.
Operated under Noetherian Ring Capital LLC .
A company hires us to answer four questions:
1. Role Audit — What can be moved? We map every function and role in the client's organization against eight offshoring criteria: task complexity, communication dependency, data sensitivity, regulatory exposure, timezone constraints, tooling portability, ramp time, and institutional knowledge. The output is a role-by-role scorecard: what can go offshore or nearshore, what should stay, and why.
2. Structure Decision — Outsource to a vendor, or build your own entity there? For every candidate role, we model two structures:
- BPO/Outsourcing — hire a third-party provider in the target country to deliver the function
- Captive — open a legal entity in the target country; workers are your direct employees
We produce a side-by-side cost model over 1, 3, and 5 years — including setup costs, management overhead, and attrition assumptions — so the decision is math, not opinion.
3. Market Intelligence — Not "hire in India." Which city, which skills, at what salary? We scan active labor markets at the city level. For each target location: talent supply depth for the client's exact roles, salary bands by seniority, major employers competing for the same talent, infrastructure quality, and regulatory environment. We also surface alternative markets the client hasn't considered.
4. Automated Intelligence Report — One document. Every answer. Ready for the board. We consolidate all analysis into a structured report generated from the underlying data — every recommendation is traceable to the specific data point that drove it. Role-by-role recommendations, structure comparison, city market profiles, 3-year financial model, implementation roadmap, risk register. Built to be presented to a CFO or PE sponsor without us present.
A 200-person professional services firm in Chicago. They have finance ops, legal support, software engineers, and customer success. Their question: how much of this could move to India or Colombia, and what's the structure?
Parallax delivers:
- A role audit showing 14 of 47 roles are strong offshore candidates
- A city-level analysis of Bogotá, Medellín, Hyderabad, and Pune for their specific functions
- A financial model showing captive structure breaks even vs. BPO at 18 months for their volume
- A recommendation to nearshore finance ops to Bogotá (captive), offshore engineering QA to Hyderabad (BPO initially), and retain FP&A locally
- An implementation roadmap and risk register their COO can take to the board
| Engagement | Price | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Workforce Intelligence Report | 12,500ドル | Full four-phase engagement, six weeks |
| Executive Briefing | 2,500ドル | 2–4 roles, one location, 60-min working session |
| Market Pulse Retainer | 3,500ドル/mo | Ongoing benchmarks, quarterly updates |
Fixed fees. No hourly billing. No scope creep.
- CFOs and COOs at companies with 50–500 employees facing rising US labor costs
- Private equity sponsors evaluating workforce cost structure in portfolio companies
- HR and People leaders considering a first international hire or team
- CEOs who want a data-backed answer before committing to a geographic expansion
Primary entry point: Raymond James wealth management network, PE portfolio companies, and direct outreach through the NRC family client base.
Every company above 50 employees is overpaying for at least some of its workforce. The global labor arbitrage opportunity — the gap between US fully-loaded labor costs and equivalent-quality work in nearshore/offshore markets — is estimated at 400ドルB+ annually, most of it uncaptured because companies lack the intelligence to act on it safely.
The blockers are not ambition. They are:
- No role-level analysis (country averages are useless operationally)
- No structure modeling (BPO vs. captive is a guess without a financial model)
- No city-level market data (you can't hire in "India" — you hire in Hyderabad or Bengaluru or Pune)
- No synthesis (three vendors sell data; nobody builds the recommendation)
Parallax removes all four blockers in one engagement.
~15,000 US companies have 100–1,000 employees and are actively making workforce geography decisions. The traditional options:
| Option | Cost | Problem |
|---|---|---|
| Big 4 consulting (Deloitte, KPMG) | 300ドルK–1ドルM+ | Priced for Fortune 500, not mid-market |
| Internal research | Months of HR/finance time | No city-level data, no structure modeling |
| Ask a BPO vendor | "Free" | Vendor recommends their own product |
| Do nothing | 0ドル now | 400ドルK–2ドルM overspend per year continues |
Parallax is the first option that gives a mid-market CFO a board-ready answer at a price point they can approve without a committee.
| Firm | Model | Gap |
|---|---|---|
| Lightcast / EMSI Burning Glass | Labor market data (~150ドルM rev) | Historical data, no recommendations, no structure modeling |
| LinkedIn Talent Insights | Headcount and skills data | No cost modeling, no offshoring synthesis |
| Revelio Labs | Workforce analytics (~20ドルM rev) | Raw data only, no engagement layer |
| Korn Ferry (analytics) | Consulting + data (2ドル.7B total firm) | Priced out of mid-market, slow |
| Generic HR consultants | Project-based consulting | Frameworks and decks, not traceable data |
None of them produce role-level recommendations with a BPO vs. captive financial model and city-level salary data. That's the gap Parallax fills.
The consulting engagement model is the wedge. The moat builds through data.
Phase 1 — Consulting flywheel (Y1–Y2) Each engagement generates real placement data: which roles moved where, at what cost, with what outcomes. We are not relying on job postings — we are building a dataset of actual workforce decisions at the role and city level. No data vendor has this.
Phase 2 — Software layer (Y2–Y3) The four-phase process translates directly into a software product: an AI-driven assessment tool that automates Steps 1–3 and produces a preliminary report for 2,500ドル instead of 12,500ドル. The full engagement becomes a premium tier. The software tier captures the volume.
Phase 3 — Intelligence platform (Y3+) The Tranche data flywheel: Tranche (sister company under NRC) executes the offshoring decisions Parallax recommends — staffing, automation, vendor management. Every execution feeds back into Parallax's cost and performance models. This loop creates a proprietary dataset that compounds over time and cannot be replicated by any firm that has never placed a worker.
Revenue model at scale:
| Year | Engagements/Customers | ARR | Model |
|---|---|---|---|
| Y1 | 20 engagements | ~250ドルK | Consulting only, NRC network |
| Y2 | 80 engagements + 30 retainers | ~2ドルM | Consulting + retainer, direct outreach |
| Y3 | Software launch, 500 customers | ~8ドルM | Mixed consulting/SaaS |
| Y4 | 2,000 customers | ~40ドルM | SaaS-led, consulting upsell |
| Y5 | 6,000 customers | ~120ドルM | Platform + data licensing |
At Y5 scale with SaaS multiples of 10–15x ARR: 1ドル.2B–1ドル.8B valuation.
The consulting engagements in Year 1 are not just revenue — they are buying the data, the case studies, the brand credibility, and the feedback loop that makes the software defensible at scale.
