Data Scientist today, HCI researcher next.
I'm a Computer Science engineer (Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, 2024) currently working as a Data Scientist at Zigi App, building credit-risk pipelines and benchmarking LLMs for conversational AI trust and usability.
I'm moving into HCI and Interaction Design, starting an MSc in Human-Computer Interaction at the Universität Siegen this fall. My focus is conversational AI that works as a trustworthy companion for underserved users: people with limited digital access, older adults, anyone tech tends to design around instead of for.
🐟 ACNH Critterpedia Tracker — Offline SwiftUI iOS app for tracking Animal Crossing: New Horizons critters. Built and tested with a real user (my sister), documented with a full UX case study from problem framing to design decisions.
🧘 StretchBreak — Cross-platform (macOS/Windows/Linux) break reminder built with Electron + React. Ships with an embedded UX case study and an ongoing diary study.
🏨 Reservation System — Full-stack hotel reservation platform (React + Node/Express + MySQL) inspired by IRTRA hostels in Guatemala.
- Designing conversational and interactive systems people can actually trust
- Grounding design decisions in real UX research, not just intuition -> every project above ships with a case study
- Coming from a mixed background: business development in game studios (Akupara Games, Robot Teddy), student leadership (President of UVG's Engineering Student Association), and now data scientist.
