compiling a SWT-gui with gcj on windows

Hy
First of all, i want to thank you guys here, our gui now compiles fine 
with gcj (modified 3.3 from mohan, with older binutils) on windows. But 
i still have to comment some string-manipulation-lines before compiling.
Is there a rough timeline when this stuff will work, or is there another 
workaround i should know about?
