Which JRE? Not all of 1.4 is implemented yet.
BTW, libgcj is based largely on the Classpath project
(http://www.gnu.org/software/classpath). This is a clean-room effort to
implement all of Sun's core java APIs. It contains no Sun code at all, so
finding divergences with Sun's APIs is not uncommon (bug reports are
welcome).
