All you really need is the libffi in the gcc tree.
 cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@gcc.gnu.org:/cvs/gcc co gcc/libffi
However, I don't know if there are tests, or even documentation, for
the raw api code. I do know that you can tell that it works by trying
to run the libgcj Java bytecode interpreter.
This requires the full compiler and runtime, and it will also require
you to hack the configury a little bit so that the interpreter is
built.

We know the rest of libffi works because reflection works on PPC.
All that's missing is the bits related to the interpreter.
