libtool and gcj

Hello
I am using some libtool-related scripts from libgcj in
gnome-gcj (gnome-gcj.sourceforge.net). Specifically the
ltconfig and ltmain.sh files. Recently I noticed that there
are some new files in libgcj: ltcf-c.sh, ltcf-cxx.sh,
ltcf-gcj.sh and libtool.m4.
Are there from CVS or some unreleased version of libtool,
or only in libgcj?
I also noticed mention of a AC_PATH_GCJ in libtool.m4. Where
can this macro be found? Are there other such macros for
using gcj/libgcj in applications? (I had to write my own
AC_PATH_{GCJ,LIBGCJ} in gnome-gcj. It would be nice if they
could be replaced.)
I would be grateful if someone could give me further hints
here. I am working on a "sample gcj application and library"
to demonstrate the use of autoconf/automake/libtool with gcj.
