Hi all, looking for someone to code, test, and commission a shell script for me.

Fundamentally, it is accessing an Rsync server, which has a series of main folders in its root directory. Each of these main folders has a series of subdirectories and files.

Need to schedule this script for a daily check which does the following for each main folder:
    • Check if the most-recently updated file/changed timestamp is more than 7 days old (indicating the remote rsync client/sync for that folder may be down or auto backup service not running).
    • Check if the folder's overall size has not increased by more than x.x% in size over a 7 day period (indicating some potential issue in the remote rsync client, like the local trending systems have stopped).
    • Sends an email to a nominated email address if it detects an issue based on the above.
    Few other notes:
    • The script shall maintain an output file that gets updated each time the script runs, which shall simply show the following, per row.
      • Name of Main Folder
      • Size of Folder
      • Number of Files
      • Most recent updated file's modified timestamp
If someone can PM me to get this discussion going that would be great. Obviously we would pay you for your time! Thanks.
