Nice board, but MSI's 939 BIOSes were absolute dogshit. Also they were last to go solid-state caps on their high-end stuff. The telltale above is that the socket is 90deg off everyone else except Tyan and maybe Chaintech or Soltek? Also the blue chokes :p

The ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe was where it was at for 939, biggest let down was the dog shite chipset cooling fan...

Neo2 was freakin' great with a modified bios. DFI Lanparty NF4 was where it was at and what I replaced my Neo2 with. Both boards did 300+ FSB iirc. Seen some MSI boards of that era where almost every cap is burst but then there are others that are fine so
First world problems. You immediately upgraded any NF3/NF4 board with the Thermalright HR-05-SLI of course ;)

    Now there's a good board.

I ditched it for the (fanless) premium when a mate sold one (he was going 775, the clown), then sold that for an A8R32-MVP Deluxe with the old ATi chipset in it. That saw me out on 939

Thinking mid-range GPU - 8-pin pci-e power. The question is which generation. I'm getting newer rather than older vibes due to only having 8-pin and not 6 pin.
