I've got an adjustable bench supply with cc/cv that goes up to 30v.

When you say disconnect the bms power brick - I don't follow sorry. I'm not sure which part of the board is the bms, and if it's on the underside I can't get to it anyway without desoldering the whole board. Or I've missed it and you mean just not with the wall wart power supply plugged in at the same time as the bench power supply.

I could try remove each battery individually, charge up and replace as I've got a little battery holder with leads.

It's a shame that there is the permanent lockout and it could have been triggered. I'd only like to fix this to learn a bit more about electronics, and reduce ewaste which is where this would go if it can't be repaired

Yes I meant just don't have your 34V power brick connected at the same time :). You can absolutely charge all the cells one by one if you wish and there's no requirement to remove them from the circuit (can run clip leads from one cell at a time to a bench psu or even a single cell 18650/lithium charger), just make sure you charge them all to roughly the same voltage.

Thanks. The weekend is coming to an end and so is my free time to spend on it. Hopefully I can pick this back up during the week and let you know how it goes

Yep, designed from the ground up. Was a bit nervous that circuit simulation wouldn't translate into reality but with a few tweaks after the initial build it works really well.

You need to turn that into a kit and sell it.
