But that was some time ago and didnt jump then.
It jumped on Government 10% to like 30%, then snailed up to 35-ish, then to 40+.
Makes no sense unless they locked in some AI deals AND there is word on the street that their fab bets FINALLY is panning out.

Up 100% since August, which is nothing to sneeze at! Trump said the governments 10% stake has made 20ドル billion dollars. Guess it beats plain old corporate welfare... the taxpayers get a stake in success (assuming long term success).

Cramer says this is the year 2000 for many 2nd rate AI plays taking on tons of debt. If that is true, the real crash did not start until March/April 2000 and I remember it fondly.

I sold in late 1999 just in case we had Y2K problems. We did not and the market kept rallying until next spring when we had a panicky 25% pullback, a 10% rally and a downward long flush through early 2002.

Along the way we had 911 which caused the Fed to cut aggressively and eventually caused a bull mall market lasting until 2007, just in time for the 2008 crash.

I was thinking it would be a great idea for me to boost my buying potential in the stock market by eliminating most of my grocery bill. The easy way to do it is getting free food at a food bank.

Sure, the ethical thing would be to let others get the food in order for them to avoid starvation. I could gaslight myself into believing I've been wronged by the current administration in many ways to justify the need to both buy into the stock market and take food from food banks.

Food bank food is not very tasty. During the pandemic they were giving so much away I had a relative that was looking for takers. It was expired food. Yum.

Might be a good idea to keep powder dry for next spring/ summer or later and only go with big names that market aren't gonna panic sell.
To be fair Cramer was talking about the crappy wanna be plays, my guess is IREN and CoreWeave. The rest of the market may be dragged down but I assume is otherwise ok.

Food bank food is mostly canned meat, canned veggies, canned fruit, and boxed meals (Mac & Cheese, cereal, etc).

Then you have outreach programs and pantries. Those can be just about anything. I buy, prepare, serve, and cleanup about 130 meals/month. I'm a foody and all meals that I prepare for the clients are food that I cook and eat at home (although I do hold back on hot spices for the kids). So, you can get tasty free food.

Our philosophy is anyone who walks in hungry will leave full. Whether you are a destitute refugee or Warren Buffet. We don't care, you'll leave full.

So it's perfectly okay for nazi's to use stocks but not for ordinary people

1 rule for me, 1 rule for everyone else..

I see how it is!
You use that word as if it has any meaning left to it. Godwin's law was invoked long ago.

I'm in favor of people meeting their own basic needs without external help before they dive into the stock market.

Yeah well everyone here knows I'm in favor of deporting Nazis to Russia..

Hillarious part about this is that people at a foodbank don't steal from anyone. They're just accepting donations which help them survive.. sometimes by easing expenses so they don't end up homeless and on the street.

But the Nazi's always try to make others look subhuman using anything and everything to flail at them while conveniently ignoring 550% increase in grocery costs while not getting a 550% increase in salaries.

Thank you for what you do!

And honestly it's also the best way.. because food you donate always ends up in someone's stomach unlike money given to charity which has a chance to sometimes by mismanaged and stolen.

Again thank you sir! It is massively appreciated and every little bit helps!

Simpler is better. I'll risk getting into politics here, but so many people think that we need to limit generosity to only certain groups (only those who fit their definition of work, only those that pass drug tests, only those who don't have a criminal record, only those who match whatever physical characteristic they choose). But, to do a work check, a background check, a drug test, a racial check, a citizen check, etc. all requires expensive employees and expensive tests. For 300ドル - 400ドル I provide ~130 meals. If I did all those checks, that 300ドル would provide maybe 3 to 4 drug / work / background check combos. Then I have no money left for food.

I think you of all would know the value of resistance.

I maybe alone but I'm not afraid to punch them in a way they remember it that they are not welcome here and their only safe space is Putin's Russia.

Maybe @Perknose @esquared disagree with me but imo you have to fight the things you perceive are wrong to make the world a better place over just surrendering.. to Nazis.

And notice no one here started it except him because it's in his Nazi blood to point out others as parasitic subhuman trash.

No. He obviously read a post of yours where you talk about standing in line somewhere, and sniped you ... and got the reaction he aimed for. Dude.

I correctly point out misguided priorities and in return receive weak deflection dressed in hate.

Invest in yourself before investing in the stock market.

Thanks for pointing out he's the one who has NO problems with those:

- who steal money from hard working Americans
- who pardon Drug/ Crypto/ Ponzi schemers
- who pardon pedos/ rapists/ criminals
- tariffs which increase costs on Americans
- who jump queues at food banks

but does have a problem with:

- hard working Americans who work patiently in line at food banks and calls them parasitic.

I couldn't really present a better example of who he is!

While some more fan fiction is being written about me, I'd like to point out that people taking handouts meant for survival should not invest in the stock market. It doesn't take a certified financial planner to figure this out.
