Dog Commands (or any other pet if you like!)

Looking for Dog Commands - sit, stay, heel, down, lie down, etc.

Any inputs please?

I found a french thread, but people seemed to be disagreeing at bit... Then I realised I'll also need it in Spanish and German. And any other languages would be great!

I know there's variation in the commands used in English, so I guess it'll be the same in other languages...

My attempt.
Some equivalent dog commands in Russian (this is not a full list, of course, just some basic ones, with my personal preferences):

sit – сидеть!
heel – рядом!
here – ко мне!
bark/ speak – голос!
stand / stay – стоять!
[lie] down – лежать!
attack – фас! / взять!
give – дай!
search – ищи!
wait – ждать! / жди!
go ahead – вперед!
out! / no / leave it! don’t! – фу!
up / jump / hop – ап! барьер!
bring/ fetch/ retrieve– принеси! (I personally don’t like ‘апорт!’)
...

But actually, my 11-year-old Great Dane understands us with ease (just plain Russian and English) without any commands. When she wants. :)

well here in Algeria we have other ways or words to command

for cats as an example we say

come=beshbesh

go a way=kess

for dogs we say

lie down=coucher_vous it's a French word but we use it as well

attack =a l'attack

come=ici ici

all the words we use approximately french

Here are the Tagalog/Filipino equivalent for dog commands: :)

sit – upo
here – dito
bark – kahol
stand - tayo
[lie] down – higa
attack – sugod
give – bigay
search – hanap
wait – antay
go ahead – alis
out! / no / leave it! don’t! – labas
up / jump / hop – talon

But normally we are using english commands most of the times especially in urban areas.

Italian
(based on experience; these are the most common but variants may exist. In particular all of these are informal/colloquial expressions. I don't know if professional pet trainers use different expressions in Italian)

here (to a cat): "Qui micio-micio!" or "Micio?" (it literally means "here kitty kitty")

here (to a dog): "Qui bello!"

let's go (to a dog): "Andiamo bello (alternatively: "andiamo" + pet's name)"

sit: "Seduto!"

fetch: "Porta!"

play dead: "Fai il morto."

give your paw: "Dai la zampa." / "Zampa!"

roll: "Rotola."

wait: "Aspetta."

down, lie down: "Cuccia!"

no, don't, etc: "No!"

And when you want to praise your pet: "Bravo!"

In Dutch:

sit – zit!
here – (kom) hier!
bark/ speak – blaf!
stand / stay – blijf!
[lie] down – lig!
attack – val aan!
give – geef hier!
search – zoek!
wait – wacht!
no / leave it! don’t! – hou op!/stop!

In French, this is what I used for my dog (more or less successfully :D)

heel – au pied (supposedly). Personally, I said (allez,) viens ((come on,) come)
stand - debout
stay – Personally I said 'bouge pas' (not so grammatical for 'don't move')
[lie] down – couché
attack – attaque
bring/ fetch/ retrieve – va chercher
give – donne
up / jump / hop – saute / hop
play dead - fais le mort
give your paw - donne la patte
sit up and beg - fais le beau
no, don't - non

Catalan:
(used by me or by others with a dog or by shepherds in gos d'atura contests)

sit - seu! or asseu-te!
heel / here - vine! (= come!), vine aquí! (=come here!)
bark - borda!
stand - amunt! (=up!) or dret/dreta (=standing) or aixeca't (=stand up!)
(lie) down - jeu! or ajeu-te!
attack - ataca!
give ... - dona'm ...
give your paw - dona'm la poteta
search - ves-hi! (=go for it) or cerca! or busca!
wait - quiet! (=still)
go ahead - endavant!
out! / no / leave it! / don't! - no! or deixa-ho! or fuig! (literally, 'escape' but rather meaning 'don't touch it')

fetch — przynieś!, aport! (when playing fetch)
leave it/no — oddaj/puść! (for objects held in mouth), zostaw! (a more general "leave it"), fe/fu/fuj/ble! ("yuck!"), nie! ("no!"), stop/przestań! ("stop!")
give your paw — (po)daj łapę/łapa! ("give [your] paw"/"paw!")
go (ending the command) — various may be used, f.e. okej/dobra ("okay")
praising the dog — świetnie/dobrze! ("great"/"good!"), super!, brawo!, dobry pies! ("good dog!")
play dead — zdechły pies/zdechł pies! ("dead dog"/"the dog died!")
For horses:
prrt! ("stop/hold on!"), wio! ("go on/faster!", wiśta wio! is a more energetic version, should you get in spirit)

Calling animals:
cats — kici-kici, pspsps
chickens, some other birds — cip, cip!
ducks — taś, taś!
rabbits and most rodents — the sound of clicking your tongue against the alveolar ridge
squirrels — Basia/Baśka! (a Polish diminutive of the name Barbara; honestly, I have no idea why we call them so, but my grandma says they respond to it, so who knows... ;>)
a bit oddly, we don't have a specific call for dogs besides a whistle.
