Financial Aid

As part of our commitment to the Python community, we offer special grants for people in need of financial aid to attend EuroPython 2026. It is a privilege to support the Python community through our Financial Aid Programme and make attendance more accessible.

If you are receiving a grant, we want you to feel welcome and at home when you join us. You are encouraged to take part in any optional activities, whether that’s the free sprints and community gatherings, or the separately ticketed social events. Across the whole conference, this is your space to share your voice and make meaningful connections. Our hope is that you leave EuroPython feeling supported, empowered, and fully embraced by the community.

In-person Financial Aid applications have now ended.Remote Ticket Grant applications are now open until 10 July 2026.

Grant Types

EuroPython offers four different types of Financial Aid grants::

  1. 🆕 Remote Ticket Grant : Get a Remote Conference Ticket to join the main conference (Wed - Fri) remotely for free.

  2. [Closed] Free Ticket Voucher Grant: Get a voucher for a free standard in-person Conference Ticket, covering the main conference days and sprints (Wed - Sun).

  3. [Closed] Travel/Accommodation Grant: We will reimburse travel and/or accommodation costs up to 500ドル.

  4. [Closed] Visa Application Fee Grant: Get reimbursed for the costs of a short-stay Schengen visa to Poland (up to 90ドル).

Grant Eligibility

Our grants are open to everyone in need of financial support to participate in EuroPython. We will look at the following criteria to help decide who qualifies for a grant:

  1. Contributors: We want to support those who make the Python community a positive, inclusive and welcoming space. We welcome grant applications from folks who need financial support and who clearly put effort into the community and EuroPython, including speakers, volunteers, community organisers, and open-source contributors.
  2. Social & Economic factors: Everyone should have a chance to attend EuroPython, regardless of their social or economic situation.
  3. Diversity: We want EuroPython to be the most diverse and inclusive event possible, and we are especially committed to helping those from underrepresented groups in tech feel welcome, participate fully, and contribute to our community.

How to apply

Applications for in-person attendance ran between 19 March - 11 May and are now closed. Thank you to everyone who applied!
Applications for Remote Ticket Grant are open until 10 July 2026.

Applying for a Remote Ticket Grant via Email

If you would like to attend EuroPython remotely but cannot afford a ticket, we encourage you to apply by simply sending us an email at finaid@europython.eu.

Just tell us a little about yourself, for example:

  • your name
  • your country of residence
  • why you’d like to join EuroPython
  • why the Remote Ticket Grant can make a difference to you
  • anything else you’d like to share with us, such as your gender, profession, affiliation, or background

This doesn’t need to be formal or polished - we’d simply like to get to know you a little better, understand your circumstances, your connection to Python, and what attending EuroPython remotely would mean to you.

If your application is approved, you will receive an individual voucher code for a free Remote Conference Ticket, giving you access to the livestream and speaker Q&A during the main conference days (Wednesday to Friday).

Timeline

Grants for in-person attendance are awarded in two rounds. This makes it easier for us to reallocate grants in case grant offers were rejected in the first round. Receiving a grant early is also beneficial for people having to apply for a Schengen visa.

If you’ve applied for the first round, you will automatically be considered during the second round if you did not receive a grant during the first round. You do not have to reapply separately for the second round. In fact, if you want to increase your chances of receiving a grant, it is recommended to apply early.

You can also apply for a Remote Ticket Grant by sending us an email.

Note: dates in the timeline follow the Anywhere on Earth convention.
