In the present study, infusion dose requirements to maintain deep block with muscle relaxants were studied by maintaining TOF COUNT 0 by using
Accelerograph. It was observed that the infusion dose requirements of vecuronium after a dose 0.1 mg/kg averaged 1.02 [+ or -] 0.1 [micro]g/kg/min i.e., (0.6 mg/kg/hr) and the dose requirements of atracurium after a bolus dose 0.5 mg/ kg averaged 13.7 1.[+ or -] 9 [micro]g/kg/min i.e., (0.82 mg/ kg/ hr.) respectively.
In the Nepal event, data from eight GPS stations were analysed--two were close to the
accelerograph KATN, namely stations KKN4 and NAST, at a distance of 11 km and 6 km, respectively (Fig.
Unfortunately, however, the sensitivity of the SMAC-MDU strong-motion accelerometers (
accelerographs) commonly deployed at that time dropped drastically above 20 Hz (usually for technical reasons) and waves over 10 Hz were filtered out, and therefore, it was difficult for them to detect higher frequencies.
Where [A.sub.ace] is the maximum amplitude in cm/[s.sup.2] (from zero to maximum) registered by an
accelerograph set on the bedrock for a particular earthquake at a specified distance and A is the epicentral distance.
Pineda explained that these 'life-saving' earthquake recording instrumentations (ERI) or
accelerographs are required for all buildings under the implementing rules and regulations (IRR) of the National Building Code or Presidential Decree No.
