Zinc finger protein 277 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ZNF277 gene (previously ZNF277P).[5] [6] [7] [8] ZNF277 is predicted to be a transcription factor which is involved in regulating cellular senescence.[9] The gene ZNF277 was truncated from its ancestral form, leading to it be labeled as a pseudogene in some places, but is now thought to produce a functionally modified protein.[7] [8]
