Semantically similar usernames with similar editing hours trying to make reverted, unexplained merges that showed up on NPP. There is also an IP address involved that suddenly stopped editing after the first account was created, and it shows a similar pattern of making tiny edits and removals on Korean language articles.
- Edit history hours: Geminiwebchickenwing edited from 0100 to 0600 wiki time and starts editing again between 1429 and 1443 on June 3. Steakcompositionleaf is then created on June 3 and begins editing at 1459 til 2226, then comes back to edit between 0000 and 0227.
- Same userpage description: Steak: Special:Diff/1227075056 Gemini: Special:Diff/1227073147
- Content 1: Gemini removes paragraph on Chinese character usage on the page for Korean language: Special: Diff/1227015844, and then Steak has a now-removed back and forth discussion with... themselves? about "Bring the Chinese connection." on their own userpage: Special:Diff/1227149416
- Content 2: Steak merges content from other pages into Idu script after edits from Gemini are reverted: First merge: Special:Diff/1226996840 Second merge: Special:Diff/1227143921
- IP: slightly different pattern, but more sourced content removal on Korean language articles Special:Diff/1224731137. Overlaps in edit history of Sejong the Great. All accounts have edited Korean language recently.
Based on earlier edits from IP, I can't tell if they're well-meaning or not, or if this is just a WP:CIR situation from someone who is trying really hard but not making a lot of sense or communicating to other editors who've left messages on their talk page. originalmess talk 04:29, 4 June 2024 (UTC) [reply ]

[edit ]- Accused parties may also comment/discuss in this section below. See Defending yourself against claims.
- My evidence:
- Both accounts were created within 1 week of each other.
- Both created their userpage 19 minutes apart: [1] [2].
- Both edit topics related to Korea such as Hanja.
- Both have long usernames which comprise a long string of words with the same formatting.
Regardless of whether this user is editing in good faith, their use of multiple accounts seems to violate policy. Air on White (talk) 23:40, 4 June 2024 (UTC) [reply ]

[edit ]- @Air on White: This was a very thorough presentation of evidence, thank you. I wish all my SPIs were this clear. Behavioral evidence shows a clear connection between these accounts. Blocked and tagged. Closing. The Wordsmith Talk to me 21:13, 12 July 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
