Welcome!

Hello, TheRocknRollPat, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article . If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page , where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme }} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!--Mishae (talk) 02:09, 28 August 2013 (UTC) Reply

Information icon Hello, I'm Blok Glo. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Dipper Pines, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Blok Glo (talk) 11:47, 29 August 2013 (UTC) Reply

You should try reading the Wikipedia guidelines for writing your first article or going through the Wikipedia tutorial if you need any help on how to edit the website. Blok Glo (talk) 07:41, 30 August 2013 (UTC) Reply

After the initial mention of any name, the person should be referred to by surname only

Hi TheRocknRollPat,

Please can you read WP:SURNAME? Wikipedia has guidelines about how people are referred to. One of these is that - whoever they are - people should be referred to by their surname after the first mention of their name. Please read the guidance. Thanks

Again, you continue to do so. We highly advise you to read WP:SURNAME. If this keeps persisting, you may be blocked for disruptive editing. Zappa O Mati 15:40, 29 September 2013 (UTC) Reply

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 02:00, 30 September 2013 (UTC) Reply

Hello, and thank you for your recent contributions. While the content of your edit may be true, I have removed it because its depth or nature of detail are not consistent with our objectives as an encyclopedia. I recognize that your edit was made in good faith and hope you will familiarize yourself with what Wikipedia is not so we may collaborate in the future. Thank you! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
