In fact, Maude was translating for me in Beijing. I tried auto-translating one once, but they delete unless the French is perfect, and mine's terrible. Game hint lines
[edit ]I came across an article in GamePro about live game counselors and 900 hint lines which has one or two useful pieces of info. - There's probably enough coverage to convert Nintendo Power Line into a broader concept of Video Game hint lines, of which the most famous was the Nintendo Power Line: Kotaku, A.V. - Thanks @L235:, I won't lie, I've been thinking about it recently! I've stayed a bit out of sight of patrolling the admin/community boards but I wouldn't consider myself inactive, I still edit here and there every week. Also, I don't necessarily think the desysopping was unwarranted, although I do miss the gnoming/clerking work I was able to so back then. - Starting on November 4, the IP addresses of logged-out editors are no longer being publicly displayed. Instead, they will have a temporary account associated with their edits.
- Administrators will now find that Special:MergeHistory is now significantly more flexible about what it can merge. It can now merge sections taken from the middle of the history of the source (rather than only the start) and insert revisions anywhere in the history of the destination page (rather than only the start). - The December 2025 administrator elections are scheduled from Nov 25 – Dec 15.
- An Articles for Creation backlog drive is happening in December 2025, with over 1,000 drafts awaiting review from the past two months. In addition to AfC participants, all administrators and new page patrollers can help review using the Yet Another AFC Helper Script, which can be enabled in the Gadgets settings. - All general sanctions imposed by the community may now be enforced at the Arbitration Enforcement noticeboard (WP:AE) as a result of a recent RfC.
- Due to the result of a recent RFC, the administrator recall process is amended to extend the deadline for a re-request for adminship to 30 days or the next administrator election, whichever is later.
- Changes to the Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy's disclosure rules include broadening the consecutive-blocks exception to cover all admin actions and removing the requirement to revision-delete permissible disclosures once they become unnecessary (instead requiring only their removal). - The arbitration case SchroCat has been opened. Evidence submissions in this case closed on 15 April.
- Per a recent motion, appeals of blocks from the conflict-of-interest VRT queue are, by default, appealed on-wiki through the normal unblock process. However, they may be heard by the Committee if COIVRTers disagree on the interpretation of the evidence or believe ArbCom would be better suited to hear the appeal. Administrators are also advised that loosening or lifting such blocks without the consent of someone with access to the queue or ArbCom can be grounds for desysopping.
