I've contributed more than 1,400 edits so far ... so ... I'm past due to learn about how to make a reference list / short footnote. Can you point me in the right direction? For example, I want to add information to the article, "Nell Jackson." I added a reference yesterday for the book, "Notable Black American Women," and the additional information I plan to add also needs to have the same book cited. The "Nell Jackson" Wiki article has a reference list. Instead of adding the same book reference multiple times, I assume the book should be part of the reference list. I don't know how to do that. I also don't understand the difference between making short footnotes versus a reference list. Any help would be appreciated, but no hurry: This is the holiday season. Thanks in advance.

No problem @Polymath Want To Be... if I'm understanding you correctly, you should be able to cite the book page like "Gloudon 1992 p. xx" and then list the book source in a lower section/sub section, like at Appaloosa#Footnotes or Slug (song)#References. I think the difference between short footnotes and references lists is an aesthetic one mostly. Intoxicated by My Illness is an example of how I usually format my references.

I have been asked to assist Design.com with the process of getting a proper Wikipedia article written about the company, but this is not something I have been hired to do, my assistance has been sought because of my experience on Wikipedia (and their lack of it).
