Your submission at Articles for creation: Museum of Engines and Mechanisms (December 22)

[edit ]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Significa liberdade was:
This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Museum of Engines and Mechanisms

[edit ]

Hello Matteo99212,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Museum of Engines and Mechanisms for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.

If you don't want Museum of Engines and Mechanisms to be deleted, you can contest this deletion , but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Can you delete my draft?
I want to start to write a new one page Matteo99212 (talk) 08:21, 21 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
@MPGuy2824, Wikishovel, and Matteo99212: I have deleted both Museum of Engines and Mechanisms Draft:Museum of Engines and Mechanisms as most the text and quite probably all the images appear to have been copied from the University of Palermo's "Museo Storico dei Motori e dei Meccanismi" page here. Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 10:17, 21 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
Hi,the images are not copied from the website, but are either sourced from the internet or taken with a phone. However, I would like to create a new page about the Museum of Engines in English, with proper citations and a more neutral version that can be published Matteo99212 (talk) 10:46, 21 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
@MPGuy2824, Wikishovel, Matteo9921, Bkissin, Pickersgill-Cunliffe, and Bkissin: I have *not* deleted Draft:Museum of Engines and Mechanisms - I guess I'm obviously WP:INVOLVED here, so it would appear to me better to step aside and let other users assess this what's happening here. As always, I seek all your opinions about this.--Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 11:12, 21 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
Okay, I have sent the draft back for a new review. If needed, we will proceed with a new transcription. Thank you. Matteo99212 (talk) 11:29, 21 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Theroadislong was:
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
The comment the reviewer left was:
we have little interest in what their own website says.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved. Theroadislong (talk) 14:27, 23 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
