I am aware of COI policies and act in accordance to them. I published a new article about Harley Lippman over the weekend, and it was flagged for deletion. I replied in the talk page with the reasoning, but instead of having a conversation you decided to delete it straight away. Hi. The article has been deleted from mainspace after being nominated for speedy deletion. Although you were informed several times above that the draft had failed review because it didn't meet the criteria for inclusion, you went ahead and moved it to mainspace yourself. I was not informed even once that it was nominated for deletion. The editor of a Israel's largest English-language newspaper is worthy of a Wikipedia article, so long as it adheres to living biography standards. If there are specific errors let's fix them, but removing it is the wrong move, and doing so without warning is not ok. (LifeLearning (talk) 09:51, 15 February 2026 (UTC) Reply

There is no requirement to inform contributors when an article is speedily deleted. What made you think it was okay to move a draft to mainspace without it passing a review?

The speedy deletion clearly says you can argue against it in the page talk space, which I did; courtesy would be to answer, even if you don't have to.

Most of the work on Yair Naveh was reorganizing the information into a clear, Wiki-style format. There was very little new information added. Also now, after the revert, you leave the details but in a format that reads like a biography or CV, and not as structured as it should be.

Look at Special:Diff/1353228057/1358374137, showing your additions. You don't see any unsourced additions there? I see tons...\

• The entire Education section.
• Nearly the entire Military Career section.
• After his military service, Naveh was appointed as CEO of CityPass, the consortium building the Jerusalem Light Rail.
• Naveh lives in Zikhron Ya'akov with his wife. The couple have four children.

I'll accept, I added the name of the university he studied in, and the city he resides in. However - the education (his degrees), role on the light rail and military career (without the appropriate ranks) all appear in the version you reverted to. So why claim I added them? The link I gave you was from the deletion log, so I know it was correct at the time. I just consulted the deleted version, and it's about an Israeli violinist; what you got is the result of Domain drop catching, and perhaps Domain hijacking. The violinist's page has expired, so someone else registered it as a way of spamming people who had previously saved, or linked, the website of the violinist.
