User talk:ImprovedWikiImprovment
There are very few active editors on the Simple English Wikipedia, but there is a huge amount of work to be done to bring the encyclopedia up to scratch! There are pages to edit and create, improper edits such as vandalism to be dealt with, good articles to be created, and many more tasks. If you wish to help out, head on over, or contact me for more information!

Hi ImprovedWikiImprovment! On behalf of the Birthday Committee, I'd like to wish you a very happy anniversary of the day you made your first edit and became a Wikipedian! DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 13:14, 31 July 2026 (UTC) Reply Party popper emoji
Your edit to Sterling is correct and should be valid: the name of the currency is sterling and there is no WP:EGG. But Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Page style says
- Do not pipe the names of the links to the articles being listed.[a] (For exceptions, see MOS:DABPIPING.)
which may mean that your edit is not legitimate. So if someone else reverts it, it will be for that reason. (The article really should be called Sterling (currency) but that idea has never achieved consensus and I doubt it ever will.) JMF (talk) 23:21, 31 July 2026 (UTC) Reply
- Okay, I’ll let the community decide and maybe start a discussion thereafter. --IWI (talk) 23:25, 31 July 2026 (UTC) Reply
- I hope you can make more sense of the footnote ("Communicating the actual titles of entries at variance with the base title one might expect—were the entries not ambiguous with each other—is integral to the purpose of a DAB page.") than I can! JMF (talk) 23:30, 31 July 2026 (UTC) Reply

The purpose of an edit summary is to say WHY you did something. The 'what you did' is usually obvious. JMF (talk) 11:20, 1 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
