Hey Harry, hope you don't mind what I've done there: moving pages from "HJ" to "HJ Mitchell" so they're not subject to potential deletion under CSD U6 as abandoned userspace pages of non-contributors. I'm going through lots of pages in a similar situation; see this discussion for background. Graham87 (talk) 13:51, 26 July 2026 (UTC) Reply
- Hi Graham, that feels like makework to me but I don't object. (User:HJ was active on ptwiki years ago so I can't have it; HJ~enwiki belongs to me). HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 13:30, 28 July 2026 (UTC) Reply
no valid reason was given I was blocked just on suspicion or assumption ~2026-41679-05 (talk) 14:04, 26 July 2026 (UTC) Reply
- In order: you're not blocked, a valid reason was given for the block on your IP, and your (easily refutable) suspicion and assumption that there was no valid reason for the block are, ironically, suspicion and assumption. There appears to be an SEO firm on the same network as you which has been adding spam links, which is why the network is blocked from editing articles. Could you do me a favour and obtain the file name from the history? I remember that there was such an image before you deleted the page, and I want to recover its name so that I can nominate it for deletion on Commons. Thanks! Hello!
Just wanted to make you aware that a user you blocked a few months ago has resurfaced with a new IP account, and they are vandalizing again in the same manner as before. OrdinaryOtter (talk) 14:02, 29 July 2026 (UTC) Reply
- Judging by the editing pattern, it looks like this is another one of their accounts. OrdinaryOtter (talk) 19:48, 29 July 2026 (UTC) Reply
- @OrdinaryOtter I've blocked those two and five other temporary accounts. They'll probably come back if they're that persistent, but hopefully that gives you a break. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:53, 29 July 2026 (UTC) Reply
Hello, any progress on removing the Nordia Inc redirect to Bell Canada? I tried to do it myself but was denied. How do we get this fixed? Joannearama (talk) 14:56, 30 July 2026 (UTC) Reply

You've blocked this range as a proxy - I don't see any indication that it is one. Am I missing something? If not, we should lift the block. In solidarity, asilvering (talk) 23:26, 2 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
- @Asilvering looks like Special:Contributions/171.236.49.0/24 was originally Ad Orientem's block. I don't remember it and it wasn't a CU block so I don't see a reason not to lift it but probably best to wait and see if AO remembers. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 09:37, 3 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
- @Asilvering This was a proxy block for the underlying IP of ~2026-38102-73 which came back as PLAINPROXIES_PROXY, 123_PROXY, LUMINATI_PROXY, PROXYRACK_PROXY, and NEXUS_PROXY. Yamla did the initial TA block for WP:BE. So I just covered the underlying ip which I routinely block if a TA is being indeffed. That said, this looks like collateral damage. Maybe an IP block exemption? -Ad Orientem (talk) 14:55, 3 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
- Ok, looks like no need for a proxy block there, so I'll just lift it. Watch out with those IP info proxy lists - what that tells you is that proxies have been observed on that IP, not that people are editing wikipedia from proxies on that IP. I have part of a guide written up on that if you're interested. In solidarity, asilvering (talk) 15:04, 3 August 2026 (UTC) Reply

Hello, I need a checkuser. User talk:~2026-42949-27 Honeydewdrop (talk) 20:55, 3 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
- Hi @Honeydewdrop you don't need a checkuser for that. Yes there are multiple temporary accounts on the IP but there can be honest explanations for that, and they probably don't have access to more than one at a time. Are they doing anything disruptive? HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 21:07, 3 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
- A lot of temporary accounts have been editing fitzBaderon articles with familiar wording. Honeydewdrop (talk) 21:10, 3 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
