Information icon Hello, I'm TornadoLGS. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Flinders University, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. TornadoLGS (talk) 04:06, 28 October 2023 (UTC) Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: Empire Times (November 9)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by DoubleGrazing was:
This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Firstly, please do not REFBOMB; there is no need for multiple citations to support entirely non-contentious statements such as the last sentence, "In 1973, Dit ego times was a joint publication between OnDit, South Australian Institute of Technology’s student newspaper Egois, and Empire Times.[25][26][27][28][29]" Choose the strongest source that supports each statement (and/or that you're already using elsewhere, and/or that you're using to establish notability), and remove the rest.

Do, however, make sure to support all material and potentially contentious statements with reliable sources. Some of these have already been marked with 'citation needed' tags.

Please form your citations correctly, at least the last four (which seem to be citing the same source anyway?) are throwing errors, flagged up clearly in red.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Hey @Significa liberdade it seems that the source of the claim is a copy and paste of the Flinders University Wikipedia page. Which parts were removed as I’m unable to compare the histories, I notice a part was removed that has nothing to do with the claim. Cheers GassyTrucker (talk) 01:57, 10 November 2023 (UTC) Reply
Hi, GassyTrucker! Thank you for reaching out with your concerns. I do not have access to the material that is now unavailable on the Empire Times wiki page, so I can't tell you exactly what material was removed.
@Nthep: Would you be able to provide any input here? Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 02:02, 10 November 2023 (UTC) Reply
@Significa liberdade @Nthep Letting you guys know that I have briefly rewrote the history section so it should be good. I believe it was only a section in the history area. If it still conflicts with the claim - delete it and let me know. Cheers GassyTrucker (talk) 02:26, 10 November 2023 (UTC) Reply
The bit you've reintroduced is the copyvio (see the section "Media" at ) I've rewritten it to avoid the copyvio. Nthep (talk) 16:35, 10 November 2023 (UTC) Reply
@Nthep Thank you - much better worded too. GassyTrucker (talk) 00:49, 11 November 2023 (UTC) Reply

You are cordially invited to this meetup to:

  • discuss the WikiCon Australia 2024 event to be held in Adelaide on 23 November 2024, which involves the setting up of a GLAM collaboration between Wikimedia Australia and the South Australian Museum, and, possibly later, other local GLAM institutions
  • discuss means of recruitment/mentoring/training of new editors, and the possibility of holding more regular meetups in Adelaide.
