Kon Knueppel name
[edit ]Hi GPL93,
How is Kon saying his middle name is "II" on a podcast not a reliable source?
Thanks, Colt22123 Colt22123 (talk) 01:03, 29 November 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
- Please read WP:RS. Best, GPL93 (talk) 13:32, 29 November 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
- On players who actually use the "II" suffix, Duke basketball's official roster website (https://goduke.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/2024-25) buts the "II" after their names (such as on Patrick Ngongba II or Derick Lively II). Kon, however, has his name listed as "Kon Knueppel." Should've we then omit the "II" on his Wikipedia page?
- Thanks, Colt22123 (talk) 15:56, 29 November 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
- Additionally,
- There a source used on this page (https://madison.com/watching-the-son-rise/article_077d07d3-dbfc-53ef-a553-e29f9177fec4.html) mentions his middle name being the roman numerals "II". Shouldn't we not have contradicting sources?
- Thanks, Colt22123 (talk) 16:06, 29 November 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
- I stand corrected! Looking through the edit history, it does look like a family member corrected it to Kon II a while ago (it was reverted because it was part of a bunch of unsourced additions). I did a search with "Kon II" as one keyword and was able to find an RS for it (as did you, darn edit conflicting) so I switched it out. Usually in these situations where naming, birthplace, etc are not clear or have conflicting information I lean towards just waiting towards draft season when players have to fill out paperwork with all this information. Speedy deletion declined: A Future in Chains
[edit ]Hello there, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! I wanted to let you know that I have deleted your G5 and G11 speedy deletion nominations for A Future in Chains.
Based on what I can see, the article is not eligible for G5 deletion as G5 only applies if the article was created in violation of a block, not merely if it has been created by a blocked user. In this case, the article was created by Bagalamama on January 10. Four days later, Bagalamama was blocked via checkuser, along with two other accounts, including Dreal-12, which you included in the deletion rationale. Because the article was created before any of the accounts were blocked, G5 does not apply. Please let me know if there is additional information to account for here.
Additionally, I have declined the G11 speedy deletion nomination, in part because the article had already been reviewed by a New Page Patroller. Importantly, G11 only "applies to pages that are exclusively promotional and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to serve as encyclopedia articles
". That is far from the case here.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions, comments, and/or concerns regarding this matter. In the meantime, take care. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 02:17, 22 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
Speedy deletion declined: User:CantPrayMeAway/sandbox
[edit ]Hello there! I wanted to let you know that I have also declined your G11 speedy deletion nomination of User:CantPrayMeAway/sandbox. This draft article is not inherently promotional and as a draft article, it is being revised and improved extensively by its creator. Newly created redirect for Ana Orsini

Since this redirect proposal was considered and rejected during the AfD, I have opened a deletion discussion for the redirect at [Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2025_January_23#Ana_Orsini]]. I am notifying you along with all prior participants in the deletion discussion. Thanks! Dclemens1971 (talk) 14:08, 23 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
