I want to know whether new users are harassed on Wikipedia. If I ask a simple question, this is the kind of reply I receive replay Do you think that kind of response is appropriate? Is Wikipedia only for senior editors and not for people like us? You must have been a new editor once as well and I m sure you made mistakes too. But do you respond to everyone this way? . I'm starting to wonder if you're here to pick arguments? Hopefully not, because Wikipedia relies on collaborating and getting along with others, not treating others as adversaries. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 19:01, 14 July 2026 (UTC) Reply- Forget it and leave it. - @RavishJagarlamudi: new users shouldn't, of course, be harassed on Wikipedia. In fact, no one, new or old, should be harassed. Alas, it is a large and diverse community, and someone may, occasionally, be harassed, or feel like they're being harassed. Whether what you're experiencing is, or isn't, harassment, I can't say. If you have a grievance against another user, you may take the matter to WP:ANI for a wider discussion (after all, I am only one administrator out of 800+, and others may have different views from mine). -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 18:37, 14 July 2026 (UTC) Reply

Regarding your comment, I would say that it unexpectedly happened. Especially considering he was in Kyiv before his death and he and Senators reached an agreement on Russian sanctions. ~2026-40084-51 (talk) 23:11, 17 July 2026 (UTC) Reply
Hello DoubleGrazing:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in August!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than a month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 August 2026 through 31 August 2026.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 5000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:37, 19 July 2026 (UTC) Reply

Hi,
I am quiet lost with the workflow. I added the disclosure as requested to the draft page. What else should We do now ?

I wasn't ready to approve this draft yet (I have mild suspicions of AI usage), but was wondering if you could help me suss out what's going on with the history and redirect at Salvador Ramos? It seems like at one point it was a full article, but then was turned into a redirect. I'm not able to see if this was due to an AfD or what. Can you see what's going on so it can be noted on the draft? Also, if there's a way I missed how this could have been figured out on my own, let me know. Sulfurboy (talk) 09:28, 26 July 2026 (UTC) Reply
- Hi @Sulfurboy. You can see the full history at Salvador Ramos, as nothing has been deleted from that title (apart from one early revdel). There's a lot of LTA and socking, and per Praxidicae's comment it is a redir rather than article on the grounds of WP:SUSPECT and WP:BLPCRIME.
- From the Draft:Salvador Ramos history, there's only one deleted edit you can't see, which was a previous draft that got G13'd two years ago. It looks pretty innocent, and that editor hasn't edited since. HTH, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:42, 26 July 2026 (UTC) Reply
- Ah the Praxi action and comment is what I missed. Gonna suggest to them they incorporate their draft to the broader Uvalde article. Sulfurboy (talk) 09:51, 26 July 2026 (UTC) Reply

It says that it’s an advertisement but you couldn’t buy the product even if you wanted to because it’s out of stock. Was there another way to buy that I was not aware of? MisinformationFreeUltimateTicTacToePage (talk) 13:35, 27 July 2026 (UTC) Reply |
- Hello. Wikipedia has a very broad and rather stringent definition of "advertising and promotion". Please see WP:YESPROMO for a detailed explanation. 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk 13:39, 27 July 2026 (UTC) Reply

- @MisinformationFreeUltimateTicTacToePage: what are you referring to – Draft:Tic tac toe squared? I didn't delete it, I only rejected it.
- I suggest you stop creating such drafts. You're starting to give me the impression that you're not really here to help build an encyclopaedia. There are many existing articles in the English Wikipedia that require improving, perhaps you could work on some of those? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:55, 28 July 2026 (UTC) Reply
- Then you need to understand why they're getting reverted, so that you can avoid making the same mistakes again. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:02, 28 July 2026 (UTC) Reply

Did you deny my article because of the sources? MisinformationFreeUltimateTicTacToePage (talk) 08:56, 28 July 2026 (UTC) Reply |
- You're probably not here to build an encyclopedia. You should reconsider your activities on this website when multiple veteran editors offer their criticism independently; and no, there is no cabal, even when it feels like people are abusing their power to you. 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk 09:05, 28 July 2026 (UTC) Reply
- I rejected your drafts because they provide zero evidence that the subject described are in any way notable. And you insisting that they do, tells me that you unfortunately have very little understanding of notability, or what is required to demonstrate it (hence why I suggested working on improving existing articles instead). The drafts are also written in an unencyclopaedic manner, to the extent that they would need to be completely rewritten based on reliable sources. For those reasons, I rejected, rather than merely declined, your drafts, to avoid reviewers expending time and effort on something with no chance of becoming an acceptable article any time soon.
- The one exception to that was Draft:Fun Board Games for Family Gatherings, Great Games for Kids 8+, Includes 1 Board, 41 Mini X's, 40 Mini O's, 5 Large X's, 5 Large O's, which was the first one I came across, and which I declined (not rejected) and speedily deleted as promotional.
- Hope this helps. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:13, 28 July 2026 (UTC) Reply

Can you change the page redirects of "Encyclopedia of Science and Technology to search results, no longer redirecting to McGraw-Hill Concise Encyclopedia of Science & Technology to not mix up with my soon to be created article offically, and also the other redirection Concise Encyclopedia of Science and Technology also search results due to the fact, while most users know and as a result, would be searching up with this term to McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology a likely bit big enough would be searching for my article.
I can't redirect as this will create conflict with the already made McGraw-Hill article so can you change these redirects yourself and make them simply lead to search results instead of either my eventually created article and the already created McGraw-Hill? I need that to finish soon. ZachScientia (talk) 03:53, 30 July 2026 (UTC) Reply
- I also can't likely possibly due to my recent account and thus, extremely low rank and authority on Wikipedia. So do for me, please. ZachScientia (talk) 03:54, 30 July 2026 (UTC) Reply
- If you get your draft Draft:The Concise Encyclopedia of Science & Technology accepted, it will be placed at the appropriate title, including any diaambiguation if necessary, in the encyclopaedia. If that then rquires some existing redirects to be deleted to make way for it, the accepting reviewer will take care of that. Don't worry about it for now. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 04:17, 30 July 2026 (UTC) Reply

Doral Renewable Energy is a publicly traded company in TASE. I provided significant coverage regrading the company from Israel's leading economic press. I fail to see why was it declined. עומר תשבי (talk) 18:32, 2 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
- It doesn't matter if it's a listed company, that's not a notability criterion in WP:NCORP. We need to see significant coverage of this business, in multiple secondary sources that are reliable and entirely independent of the subject. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 19:13, 2 August 2026 (UTC) Reply

I'm making categories on my draft, but I found out it's done incorrectly and a fellow Wikipedian user, who's username is TurquoiseGoose, has two times now, edited my categories to be excluded from the Categories section at the very bottom of the article. Can help me on how to do it correctly? ZachScientia (talk) 23:12, 3 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
- @ZachScientia: you shouldn't put drafts into categories, only published articles. That's probably why it was changed. If you want to list in a draft categories that the article should be put in once it's published, you can use the {{draft categories }} template. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:39, 4 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
