- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue on the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

I've added more history to the Bacon jam article. Bizarrely, the article previously only mentioned The Bacon Jams / TBJ Gourmet in a footnote, even though they appear to have been instrumental in bringing it to a mass market and are now the largest brand. Of course, your additional edits are very welcome! --Macrakis (talk) 20:14, 4 April 2026 (UTC) Reply

Hi there AlexHammeke, it was nice of you to post a first edit anniversary message on User talk:I dream of horses. However, IDOH seems to have left Wikipedia. Should her user page be removed from the list that you're using for first edit day messages? Thank you, ↠Pine (✉) 04:34, 18 May 2026 (UTC) Reply
- Thank you for your message, Pine! It appears another user already removed her from at least the first day acknoledgements. I'm nont sure how many other members are active on the birthday committee, but I will take a more proavtive approach to cleaning up our lists. ☘︎☘︎☘︎ALEXHammeke (talk | guestbook | sandbox) 04:40, 20 May 2026 (UTC) Reply
- That sounds good. Perhaps the Birthday Committee activities will be simpler after some cleaning of lists. By the way, it might be preferable to have the ability to track if someone is away for a time, such as a year, and automatically pause the messages to their talk page. And if someone returns after the pause, having the applicable messages automatically un-paused might be nice. But this is all optional, and it's generous of you to be placing these wishes on user talk pages at all. Regards, ↠Pine (✉) 05:42, 20 May 2026 (UTC) Reply

Hi there AlexHammeke, first of all I would like to thank you for congratulating me for my first edit day anniversary, but I must note that I noticed that in your custom signature you are missing a closed parenthesis after the talk page link, since I only just saw the message today (phone is broken and sent to repair) I don't know if you fixed it already, but if you didn't you probably should. Lucasfergui1024 🇪🇸 19:02, 16 June 2026 (UTC) Reply
- I appreciate the concern! Do not worry, there are no problems with the signature. My signature is a bit long and maybe a little obnoxious, and because of that it doesn't appear fully in some of the template boxes. My full signature is attached. ☘︎☘︎☘︎ALEXHammeke (talk | guestbook | sandbox) 04:33, 17 June 2026 (UTC) Reply
