The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Hello 331dot, sorry for the late reply; I hadn't seen the message.

First of all, I apologize for any English errors or awkward phrasing, as English isn't my everyday language; I am using a translator to reply.

I declare that there is no conflict of interest; I am genuinely not being paid for this, and I have never met the subject personally.

In reality, I have been a volunteer for years but am still learning how to contribute properly to Wikipedia—which, in my humble opinion, is a bit difficult when you haven't received guidance or are self-taught.

I would like to contribute more to raising awareness about various people or topics, but I hold back a bit to avoid making too many mistakes. That may well be what drew your attention. Thank you for your understanding, and I am truly sorry for the impression this gives to reviewers.

You uploaded an image of Mr. Akendengué-Tewelyo in the proper manner, getting it released from the photographer. I took the liberty of doing this because I know the renowned photographer Mr James Franck Affolaby, who took the photo; he is in the habit of posting images of the public figures he photographs on his pages, and he kindly gave his permission. I hope this does not cause any issues; if it is deemed inappropriate, I am willing to remove the photo. Once again, in the future, I will be sure to seek your advice before publishing anything—please understand that I am not yet very familiar with how Wikipedia contributions work. As I mentioned, a few years ago I wanted to contribute to various topics, but I found the first one quite difficult; that discouraged me a bit, especially since I wasn't very familiar with how Wikipedia works. I only work on it when my schedule allows. Consequently, I stopped contributing for several years due to my work commitments. Now that I’m on vacation, I have some free time—and having recently learned from the press about Mr. Akendengué-Tewelyo’s significant scientific contribution regarding the economic sovereignty of states, my interest was rekindled, and I decided to revisit the subject while trying to better understand the process. I’ve been wondering how to publish in English, as it’s a procedure I’m completely unfamiliar with and it seems slightly different from the French version of Wikipedia; I’m currently teaching myself through our interactions. I have several other topics in mind, but I wanted to avoid making mistakes like the ones I made with the topic we’re currently discussing. Next time, I’ll know how to go about it better—and, above all, I’ll ask for your advice. There is no issue with the image, which was properly uploaded; images are not relevant to the draft process, which only considers the text and sources. You don't need to remove it, it just doesn't aid the draft process.

Awards do not contribute to notability unless the award itself merits an article(like Nobel Peace Prize or Academy Awards).

Interviews with him are not independent sources, being him speaking about himself, so those do not contribute to notability.

The draft mostly tells of his normal activities as a businessman. We are looking for sources that are independent of him and that provide critical analysis and commentary about him as to what makes him a notable person in a Wikipedia sense. It sounds like he tries to influence the Gabonese or African business community, but we need independent sources that do not include interviews with him to say that and describe what his particular influence is.

It is possible that this draft, if written in French, would be acceptable content on the French Wikipedia. The French Wikipedia has different policies than the English Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 14:56, 13 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
