Information icon Hello, I'm Binksternet. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Neo-psychedelia seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 02:45, 6 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to James Naismith. Thank you. Geraldo Perez (talk) 06:42, 26 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at Mitski, you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. See MOS:CONTEXTBIO for what goes in lead Geraldo Perez (talk) 06:06, 27 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Mitski is literally Japanese, do we really have to argue about this? 62.57.55.113 (talk) 06:15, 27 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
See MOS:CONTEXTBIO. Left there, no notable activities there, American citizen and career is in US. Japanese ethnicity doesn't go in lead as not relevant to notability. Geraldo Perez (talk) 06:20, 27 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
What you have told me to read is nonsense and feels quite discriminatory. According to that logic, Billy Idol, who made his solo career in the USA and currently has American citizenship, is American and not English. What world do you live in? She herself is proud of her Japanese roots, I mean, imagine that someone was born in Japan, she considers herself both Japanese and American because those are her roots and someone on Wikipedia wants to try to erase that part of her identity, well that's exactly what you're doing. 62.57.55.113 (talk) 06:25, 27 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
We have a manual of style - follow it. We don't list ethnicity in lead when it isn't relevant to why a person is notable, such as in this case - see the examples. Also read what she says about herself at Mitski § Personal life for her opinions on the issue.. Geraldo Perez (talk) 06:30, 27 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
Isn't it relevant to you that all the members of Palaye Royale are Canadian? 62.57.55.113 (talk) 06:39, 27 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to change genres without discussion or sources, as you did at Hozier (album), you may be blocked from editing. Please see WP:EXPLICITGENRE. The source says "gospel-inspired blues", not blues rock. Binksternet (talk) 01:37, 16 February 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
